Trojans Cruise Past Utah, 6-1

Los Angeles, Calif. -- USC men's tennis won eight of nine matches to earn a 6-1 victory over Utah, Tuesday afternoon at Marks Tennis Stadium. The Trojans improve to 10-4 overall, while the Utes fall to 4-7 dropping their third straight.
USC easily swept at courts 1, 2, 3, and 5, earning four wins in straight sets. Utah posted its only victory when Kevin Zenger defeated Christian Jensen, 6-3, 6-1, at the No, 6 position.
With a 5-1 lead, the Trojans won all three doubles matches to complete the match. Due to an injury to USC's Patrick Gottesleben, Nicholas Rainey paired with Daniel Langre for a 8-4 win over Trevor Ferguson and David Mercier at No. 1 doubles. Ryan Moore teamed with Andrew Park at the No. 2 spot for a 8-5 win over Nikolas Yip and Zenger.
USC will resume dual match play on Thursday, March 16. The Trojans will face the Purdue at 1:30 p.m. at Marks Tennis Stadium.
