
Men's Tennis Easily Defeats Fresno State In Season Opener

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The 12th-ranked USC men's tennis team (1-0) opened the 2002 season with a 6-1 victory over Fresno State (0-1) Wednesday afternoon at Marks Tennis Stadium.
USC swept all three doubles matches to earn the first point, then claimed five of the six singles matches for the win. Fresno State's only victory came at No. 3 singles where Hector Almada defeated USC freshman Prakash Armitraj, 6-4, 6-4.
The Trojans return to action on Friday, Jan. 25, when they host San Diego at 1:30 p.m. at Marks Stadium.
