Sophomore transfer Collin Pollard finished second on 1-meter while junior Haley Ishimatsu took fifth on 3-meter during rainy conditions on the first day of the Wildcat Diving Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., on Friday (Nov. 22).
Pollard, a transfer from Cal, took second on 1-meter with 321.95 points, less than eight back of Arizona winner Carter Craft (329.65). Junior Jordan Gear was seventh (280.10).
Ishimatsu was fifth on women's 3-meter with 290.05. Sophomore Natalie Kalibat was third in the consolation final (280.85) while sophomore Adam Payne was seventh in the men's consol (235.75).
Action continues Saturday and Sunday.
