With a third of the regular season remaining, USC women's soccer sports a 10-1-1 record and is ranked No. 6 in the land.
But it hasn't all been easy for the Trojans. In five of the team's 10 wins this year, the team has had to come from behind to end up on top. USC started the trend back on Sept. 8, when the Trojans scored two second-half goals to surge ahead of Santa Clara and earn a 2-1 victory.
"Today was a big win for us," said USC head coach Keidane McAlpine at the time. "Coming from behind and showing some toughness in doing that was important."
Since then, USC has erased a one-goal deficit in wins over LMU, USD, Oregon and ASU.
USC's youngsters have shown impressive poise in these comeback wins. Freshman forward Tara McKeown (pictured) scored the go-ahead goals against Santa Clara and Oregon, while freshman midfielder Savannah DeMelo led the Trojans to victory with both goals in the 2-1 comeback win over the Toreros of San Diego.
Today, McKeown, DeMelo and the Trojans host Colorado to kick off the final third of the season. The game begins at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network.
