USC junior Amber Gore placed 103rd at the NCAA West Cross Country Regional (6K) in Seattle, Wash. today (Nov. 10).
Gore had a time of 21:39.9 to finish 103rd out of 243 women running at the regional. Gore started out deep in the pack and steadily moved up throughout the race, being 97th after 2K, 90th after 3K, 88th after 4K and 87th after 5K, but slid down to 103rd during the final 1K of the course.
This was the second consecutive season that Gore represented USC at the NCAA West Cross Country Regional, and she improved 16 positions and 12 seconds over last season's results.
