USC Places 36th At Pre-Nationals XC Meet In Wisconsin

Senior Amber Gore led the USC women's cross country team to a 36th-place finish in the "White" section 6K race at the Pre-Nationals Meet on the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin today (October 13). The meet, run in 40-degree weather, featured many of the top teams in the country on the course which will host the NCAA Championship meet on Nov. 17.
Gore had a time of 22:12.8 to lead USC and finished 139th overall. She ran her streak to nine consecutive meets over the past two seasons of being the Trojans' top finisher.
Junior Chloe Berry was the second Trojans to finish. She had a time of 23:27.0 to finish 216th. Junior Kamryn Weber, in her first 6K race, had a time of 23:51.1 to finish 227th. Freshman Alyssa Brewer, also running her first 6K race, had a time of 24:05.5 to finish 232nd. Sophomore Jennifer Daly was USC's final scoring runner, placing 237th with a time of 24:45.7.
