The Women of Troy win their fourth straight dual on a 4-1 victory over the Cardinal
PHOENIX – The No. 2-ranked USC beach volleyball team (17-2) defeated No. 7 Stanford (14-6) by a 4-1 count at GCU Beach Volleyball Stadium in the Trojans' third dual at the Pac-12 North Invitational on Sunday, April 11.

USC won its fourth straight dual and improved to 7-0 all-time against the Cardinal.

Graduate Joy Dennis and freshman Delaynie Maple got the 21-15, 21-19 win over Maddie Dailey and Jordan McKinney at the No. 4 position to score the first dual point of the day. On the top court, All-American junior Tina Graudina and freshman Megan Kraft took down Charlie Ekstrom and Sunny Villapando, 21-16, 21-17, to give USC a 2-0 lead in the dual.

Senior Haley Hallgren and graduate Hailey Harward posted the dual-clinching point from court three with a 21-19, 21-14 win over Maya Harvey and Maddi Kriz; and the Trojans racked up their fourth point when graduate Julia Scoles and senior Sammy Slater defeated Xolani Hodel and Kate Reilly, 21-18, 21-17, at court two.

Stanford scored its only point of the day in a three-set win at the No. 5 position. Trojan sophomores Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse fought tooth and nail, but came up short in a 26-24, 18-21, 15-13 loss to Emmy Sharp and Amelia Smith. The loss ends an incredible streak of 26 consecutive wins, which is the third longest in school history by a USC pair and is the first loss for the twins who are now 18-1 overall.
