Caleb Cares Partners With Trojan Outreach and Audobon PATH Mentorship Program For Culmination Event
December 04, 2022 | Trojan Outreach
On Sunday, Dec. 4, students from the Audobon Middle School PATH Mentorship Program were welcomed to USC's campus for a graduation ceremony and celebration in collaboration with Trojan Outreach and the Caleb Cares Foundation.
USC Trojan Outreach and LAUSD have collaborated with Caleb Cares to create a long-term partnership that establishes a culture of support and excellence for Audubon Middle School students in South LA. The program aims for students to gain real life and academic skills to transfer into high school and beyond, while also discussing Caleb Cares' mission of fighting bullying. USC quarterback Caleb Williams serves as the lead ambassador and presence for the partnership program.
Today's event featured a graduation ceremony for PATH students which included a Q&A session with Caleb Williams and an awards portion that recognized three individuals for their GPA's and improvement in the classroom. In addition, all participating PATH students received certificates and stoles in celebration of their accomplishments.
Following the ceremony, PATH students as well as USC student-athletes were treated to a meal from Fatburger on campus, before heading to the Galen Center to watch USC Men's Basketball take on Oregon State.

About PATH
Providing Access to HEET (PATH) is a new initiative focused on the enrichment of American American students in LAUSD. The program will run through December 2022. The goal of this program is to have LAUSD students foster relationships with student athletes and create safe space for a conversation surrounding higher education, college readiness, and youth empowerment. This fall, students had the opportunity to visit USC's campus, a football game, and even a field trip to the Barboza Space Center to learn more about the power of science and technology in sports. The goal of HEET, an LAUSD initiative, is to reverse the trend of African American students' underperformance in ELA and Math while also ensuring that all students are college prepared and career ready. HEET stands for Humanizing Education for Equitable Transformation.
