October 15, 2025 | Football
LOS ANGELES – USC wide receiver Makai Lemon, safety Bishop Fitzgerald and running back Waymond Jordan have each been named 2025 Midseason All-Americans.Â
Lemon earned placement on the Sporting News Midseason All-American First Team, CBS Midseason All-American First Team, The Athletic Midseason All-American First Team and Sports Illustrated Midseason All-American First Team. Fitzgerald was named to the Sports Illustrated Midseason All-American First Team and The Athletic Midseaon All-American Second Team, while Jordan was selected to the Sports Illustrated All-American Second Team.Â
Â
Lemon's elite route-running and yards-after-catch ability translate to inevitable impact every week as the nation's most electric receiver. He's the second-most productive pass catcher in the country, averaging 113.7 receiving yards per game, leads the Big Ten in receptions per game (7.33) and has 6 TDs on the season. He leads the Trojans with 44 receptions for 682 yards (15.5 avg.), which is second best in the nation and first in the Big Ten.Â
Additionally, Lemon is one of USC's most versatile players, and has also collected 2 carries for 11 yards (5.5 avg.) and 1 TD, as well as 7 kickoff returns for 144 yards (20.8 avg.) and 4 punt returns for 32 yards (8.0 avg.).Â
Fitzgerald leads the country in interceptions and hauled in 2 picks to help beat Michigan (his second game of the season with 2 interceptions) in one of USC's biggest wins since moving to the Big Ten. His 5 interceptions are already the most by a Trojan since Calen Bullock in 2022, with 3 of them occurring within USC's red zone. He is tied for second on USC's defense with 30 total tackles, 24 of them solo stops, and 1 PBU.Â
Jordan, a flashy, jack-of-all-trades back, burst onto the scene this season after winning the 2024 JUCOWeekly, presented to The Best JUCO Player in America (junior college's equivalent to the Heisman Trophy). He leads the team with 576 rushing yards on 88 attempts (6.50 avg.) with 5 TDs, while averaging 96.0 yards per game. He's also tallied 7 receptions for 55 yards (7.86 avg.).Â
