USC’s Mortiz Wesemann Named Big Ten Men’s Diver of the Week

LOS ANGELES – USC diving graduate student Moritz Wesemann, who swept the Trojan Invitational over the weekend, was named the Big Ten Conference's Men's Diver of the Week on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

This marks the second time the Trojan has earned the conference honor, previously claiming the award in November of 2024.

Over the weekend, Wesemann swept the diving events at the USC Invitational, claiming both the 1-meter and 3-meter events against No. 2 Indiana and No. 23 Texas A&M. On 3-meter, Wesemann tallied 382.10 points to take the event, competing against 14 other divers. The graduate student won the event by nearly 15 points and had the highest degree of difficulty. Wesemann later won the 1-meter competition with 407.80 points, as more than 80 points separated Wesemann from second place (334.40 points). He took the event while facing 13 other divers in competition.

USC diving returns to action on Friday, Nov. 7 as the Trojans travel to Tucson, Ariz. to take on the Wildcats at 1 p.m.
