October 25, 2025 | Men's Golf
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – After two rounds at The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, USC men's golf sits in fourth place, at 8-under-par, 568. After a team score of 6-under-par on day one, the Trojans shot 2-under and moved up one spot on the leaderboard. They head into Sunday's final round nine shots behind leading Virginia. USC is the only school to have every player inside the top 30 individually.
Jack Buchanan was the low man on Saturday for the Trojans, shooting a 2-under-par 70. He made four birdies during his round and finds himself in 25th place, at even-par, heading into Sunday. Buchanan has finished in the top 30 individually in all three tournaments, including a 2nd place finish at the Whirlwind Invitational.
"We played solid today," said Head Coach Mark Hankins. "We made a few mistakes coming in, but still shot the third-best round of the day. We need to stick to our game plan, be patient, be smart, and post a good round tomorrow. It's college golf; all you can do is control your effort and focus. We've been solid all weekend."
Luke Stock played well Saturday, shooting a 1-under-par 71, finding himself 1-over-par for the tournament in 27th place. Stock made six birdies in his second round and added his second eagle of the tournament on his last hole of the day.
