USC Swimming and Diving Set for 2025 Home Opener

Trojans to host two-day, three-session USC Invitational beginning Friday, Oct. 10.
 LOS ANGELES - The USC men's and women's swimming and diving programs will see action for the first time this fall as the Trojans host Indiana, Texas A&M and UCLA (women) for the two-day, three-session USC Swim and Dive Invitational at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.Â

USC will welcome top talent this weekend as all seven programs competing appeared in the CSCAA's top 25 Preseason Rankings.Â

The two-day invite will include three swimming sessions and two diving sessions, with the first beginning Friday at 9:00 a.m.

2024-25 SEASON RECAP:
Under Maurer during the 2024-25 season, nine Trojans earned First Team CSCAA All-America honors, the most in a single season since 2020. USC set 11 school records, won three conference swimming titles (two individual, 1 relay) and saw five Trojans earn First Team All-Conference swimming honors during the Trojans inaugural season in the Big Ten. USC's men's swimming and diving program finished fourth at the conference championships and 15th at NCAAs, while the Women of Troy finished fifth at Big Ten's and 11th at the National Championship meet. 29 Trojans earned Big Ten Winter Academic honors, while 18 picked up First Team CSCAA Scholar All-America honors.

RETURNING TALENT:
USC returns a handful of star talent including 2025 CSCAA All-Americans Minna Abraham, Krzysztof Chmielewski, Michal Chmielewski, Claire Tuggle, Justina Kozan, Kate Miller, Oliver Sogaard-Andersen and Moritz Wesemann.Â

USC welcomes a total of 26 new student-athletes to the squad this season, including 15 true freshmen.Â

Newcomers Dora Molnar, an Olympian from Hungary and sophomore Ohio State transfer Reid Caswell are among some of USC's top incoming talent.

USC graduate swimmer Vaggelis Makrygiannis, who previously spent three seasons with the Trojans (2021-2024), returns this year and will lead Troy's group of backstrokers. Â
