June 04, 2025 | Men's Tennis
LOS ANGELES – Senior Peter Makk followed his nomination as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team recipient, with All-American status, as he was named to the CSC All-American third team, CSC announced Wednesday, June 4.
CSC recognizes athletes for their work on the court and in the classroom. To qualify for All-District status, a student-athlete must hold a sophomore academic and athletic standing, with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet specific performance benchmarks. After the initial nomination, the organization has members vote for players that deserve All-American status.
On the court, Makk led the way at center court all season for the Trojans, securing unanimous All-Big Ten first-team honors while helping lead USC to an NCAA Super Regional finish in the NCAA Team Tournament. Makk secured a career-high national rank of No. 16 this season – earning him ITA All-American status - and his first top-five victory of his career this season while completing his bachelor's degree in journalism. Makk is a three-time CSC Academic All-District award honoree, and this is his first time as an All-American. He's previously been recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete and earned numerous conference academic accolades.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
