
USC Swimmers and Divers Wrap Competition at World Aquatic Championships

Trojan Krzysztof Chmielewski claims silver medal in the 200m butterfly.
SINGAPORE – USC swimming and diving student-athletes and alumni made 16 championship appearances at the 2025 FINA World Aquatics Championships, held July 26 through August 3 at the WAC Arena in Singapore.
Rising USC junior Krzysztof Chmielewski won a silver medal in the 200m butterfly, finishing second in a time of 1:52.64. The time was both a Polish national record and a USC school record. The runner-up finish also tied the highest performance of Chmielewski's career, having previously won a silver medal in the same event at the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
Trojan divers Kate Miller (Canada) and Moritz Wesemann (Germany) each made championship final appearances in Singapore as Wesemann was sixth on both 1m and 3m and Miller was 8th in the 10m synchronized diving event.
Rising USC junior Minna Abraham finished fourth with team Hungary in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay, eighth in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay and ninth in the mixed 4x100 freestyle relay. Individually, the Trojan also finished 10th in the 200m freestyle and 12th in the women's 4x100m medley relay.
USC swimming alum Victor Johansson also impressed, finishing fourth in the 400m freestyle and 8th in the 800m freestyle for Sweden.
Incoming USC swimmer Dóra Molnár finished fourth in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay alongside Hungarian teammate Abraham. She was also seventh in the women's 200m backstroke and 12th in the women's 4x100m medley relay.
