Wesemann Sets New Program 3-Meter Record, Finishes Third At NCAA Championships

Moritz Wesemann earned his second First Team All-American honors of the championship meet.

ATLANTA – The USC men's swimming and diving squad continued competition on the third of four days at the NCAA Championships.

In his second and final event at the meet, Moritz Wesemann once again reached the finals, this time on the 3-meter springboard. Wesemann posted a score of 485.85 which not only broke his own program record, but earned him a third place finish and First Team All-American honors.

Laurent Gosselin-Paradis earned Second Team All-American accolades with a 16th place score of 369.80 on 3-meter.

The 400y medley relay squad of Vaggelis Makrygiannis, Junhao Chan, Michal Chmielewski and Oliver Sogaard-Andersen touched the wall with a time of 3:02.51 for a 14th place finish and earned Second Team All-American honors.

In the first of two individual swimming events of the day for the Trojans, Michal Chmielewski took 26th in the 100y back after finishing with a time of 45.16. Krzysztof Chmielewski came in at 4:19.37 in the 500y free for 39th.
