Six USC Beach Volleyball Trojans Named to MPSF All-Academic Team

LOS ANGELES – Six USC beach volleyball student-athletes were named to the 2026 MPSF All-Academic Team, the league announced on Tuesday, May 26. Juniors Madison Goellner (Rockwall, Texas/Rockwall HS) and Ashley Pater (Bradenton, Fla./Lakewood Ranch HS) headlined the Trojans' group with their second-career selections.

Goellner—a communication major—and Pater—studying real estate development—were joined by first-time juniors Zoey Henson (Cypress, Calif./Cypress HS) and Kaileigh Truslow (Liberty Hill, Texas/Liberty Hill HS); and sophomores Kennedy Coakley (Lutz, Fla./Steinbrenner HS) and Calinda Kok (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada/Kitchener Vocational School).

Henson is an environmental studies major while Truslow is majoring in economics. Coakley is majoring in international relations, global business and Kok is a business administration major to round out a truly diverse array of disciplines among the Women of Troy.

To qualify for selection to the MPSF's All-Academic Team, student-athletes must hold a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average or better, be at least a sophomore academically, and have spent at least one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received. Lastly, to qualify, a student-athlete must have competed in at least 50 percent of a team's competitions.

The Women of Troy (29-12) made their 10th consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2026 and reached the quarterfinal round before falling to Florida State. USC finished tied for third in the MPSF with a semifinal finish at the conference championship. Two Trojans—junior Zoey Henson and sophomore Kennedy Coakley—were named to the AVCA All-America second team and were joined by junior Ashley Pater and freshman Sarah Wood on the All-MPSF first team. Wood was named the MPSF's Freshman of the Year. Seventh-year head coach Dain Blanton reached 198 career wins at the close of the season.
