2015: Hu competed in three events at the 2015 Pac-12 Championships as a freshman, finishing 16th in the 200y breast (1:58.44), 21st in the 100y breast (55.36) and 20th in the 200y IM (1:49.64). His 100y breast prelim (54.52) and final time in 200 breast were both season-bests and NCAA 'B' cuts.
HIGH SCHOOL: Hu, who prepped at Baldwin High in Wailuku, Hawaii, competed in the 2014 Speedo Championship Series, where he earned a pair of fourth place finishes in the 100m and 200m breaststroke. At the same meet in 2014, he earned a pair of top 10 finishes in the same events. At the 2013-14 Hawaii State Championships, Hu won both the 100y breast and the 200 IM.
