USC Women's Track & Field National Champions
OUTDOOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
2001 – The USC women won their first NCAA track and field title by scoring 64 points to hold off conference foes UCLA (55) and Arizona (44) in the meet held in Eugene, Ore. Angela Williams won her third straight NCAA 100m title (11.05w seconds), Brigita Langerholc won the 800m (2:01.61) and Inga Stasiulionyte won the javelin throw (172-4). Kinshasa Davis was third in the 200m and teamed with Williams, Candace Young and Natasha Neal to take second in the 4x100m relay. Also taking third in events were Tatyana Obukhova in the TJ, Julianna Tudja in the hammer throw and Cynthia Ademiluyi in the shot put. Ron Allice guided the USC women to the team title.
2018 – USC used a dramatic comeback win in the 4x400m relay to close out the meet and grab its second team title, both coming in Eugene, Ore. Kendall Ellis had an epic final leg making up a seemingly insurmountable distance in the final 80 meters to clinch the one-point win for the Trojans. USC scored 53 points, Georgia 52 and Stanford 51 in the closest finish in meet history. Also winning an event was Angie Annelus in the 200m (22.76 seconds). Ellis took second in the 400m and Anna Cockrell placed second in the 400m hurdles. Caryl Smith Gilbert picked up her first NCAA title as a head coach.
2021 – Despite beginning the final day with no points, USC's 74 points were its most ever in the current scoring format which began in 1985 and are the most by any team since Texas A&M scored 75 to win the 2014 title. Anna Cockrell broke her 400m hurdles school record and became the second person to ever win the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles in the same season. USC's 4x100m relay team of Jasmine Jones, Angie Annelus, Lanae-Tava Thomas and TeeTee Terry won the title with a time of 42.82.
