Dustin West joined the USC Athletic Medicine staff in July of 2024 as the head football athletic trainer for USC.
Prior to arriving at Troy, West served as the head football athletic trainer for Florida International University for three years (2021-2024).
He also spent two seasons as the associate athletic trainer for football at Arkansas (2019-2020).
West worked as an assistant athletic trainer for football at Miami for seven seasons (2012-2018).
He earned a master's degree in Higher Education from Auburn, where he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for football for two seasons (2010-2012). Notably, he worked with Auburn during their 2010 National Championship season.
West received his bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Middle Tennessee State. He is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and holds a certification in Personalized Blood Flow Restriction from Owens Recovery Science. He also served as an athletic training intern for the New Orleans Saints in 2009.
He and his wife, Gaby, have one daughter, Isla.
