Joe D’Orazio, the director of football strategy / offensive assistant, enters his first season at USC.
Before arriving at Troy, D’Orazio was a quality control coach at Baylor in 2024.
Prior to coaching at Baylor, D’Orazio spent 5 seasons (2018-23) at Columbia. After four years as a running backs coach and the director of learning and team development for the Lions, D’Orazio was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2023.
D’Orazio has NFL experience working with two different teams. He was the quality control and assistant wide receivers coach for the Philadelphia Eagles (2016-17). The Eagles went on to win the 2018 Super Bowl. He assisted the wide receivers coach at all meetings and individual drills and prepared and ran the offensive scout team.
From 2013-15, he was the special assistant to head coach Andy Reid for the Kansas City Chiefs.
He began his coaching career as a tight ends coach at the University of Chicago in 2011. In 2012, he joined Utah’s staff as a graduate assistant coach.
D’Orazio graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. D’Orazio was an offensive lineman on the UPenn football team. A three-year starter, a two-time All-Ivy League Selection and captain his senior year, he helped lead the Quakers to back-to-back Ivy League championships in 2009 and 2010.
