THIS SEASON: Garrett Snyder enters his second season at USC... Went 1-1 in singles during the fall and 0-1 in doubles with Adam Loucks.
2006: In his first season at USC after transferring from Texas, Snyder filled in at the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles slots during dual match play... Went 7-16 overall in singles and 4-10 in dual matches... Posted a 23-5 doubles record with Adam Loucks, going 10-0 at the No. 3 doubles position and 18-2 in dual matches with Loucks... Also paired up with Kaes Van[apos]t Hof (1-0)... Fell in the Pac-10 doubles tournament first round with Loucks to No. 2 Gruendler/Kohloeffel of UCLA... Lost his first-round Pac-10 singles match to Stanford[apos]s James Wan... Compiled a 3-3 record in the fall... Competed in the ITA/Regional Championships, Torero Challenge and in the No. 3 position against Notre Dame.
AT TEXAS: Snyder compiled a 9-10 singles record in 2004 and a 11-10 singles record in 2005... Tallied a 6-2 doubles record in 2004 and a 20-12 record in 2005... Compiled an overall singles mark of 20-20 and an overall doubles mark of 26-14.
HIGH SCHOOL: Snyder is a 2003 graduate of Carona del Mar High... A four-year letterwinner who played at No. 1 singles and doubles... A two-time CIF champion in doubles and a CIF finalist in singles... A 2003 high school All-American... Won the silver ball at Winter nationals... Named to the honor roll in 2003.
PERSONAL: Garrett Douglas Snyder was born on April 25, 1984 in Mission Viejo, Calif....The son of Doug and Terri Snyder, he has one sister, Taylynn, who is a sophomore on the USC women[apos]s tennis team... Chose USC because 'it is the best school in the country'... Lists Patrick Rafter and Stephan Edberg as his biggest sports heroes because they know how to play...
