Brian Schirripa is in his second year as a volunteer assistant coach with the USC men’s volleyball team.
He previously coached girls club teams at the Sinjin Smith Volleyball Academy (2009-11) and HAX, boys at Harvard Westlake Middle School (2010), freshmen boys at Crespi High (2012) and boys with the Pacific Palisades Volleyball Club (2012).
He played volleyball at Santa Monica College in 2005, then was a member of UCLA’s team in 2006 and 2007, including on the Bruins’ 2006 NCAA championship squad.
Schirripa, 33, prepped at Crespi High in Encino (Calif.).
He received his bachelor’s degree in anthropology, with a minor in political science, from UCLA in 2008. He then received dual master’s degrees in business administration and in public policy at Pepperdine in 2011.
He is the owner and chief executive officer of two real estate management companies.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1984. He is single. His brother, Brent, played volleyball at Pepperdine (2006-10), including on the 2008 NCAA runners-up, while Brent’s twin, Nick, played at Santa Monica College.
