THIS YEAR:
Freshman Justina “Tiana” Eyakpobeyan (TEE-ah-nuh Ee-yah-poe-bay-ahn) is in her first season as a sprinter on the USC track and field team. She represented her native country Nigeria at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Eyakpobeyan is a 2024 graduate of College of Commerce II in Nigeria. She has PRs of 11.24 in the 100m and 23.53 in the 200m. She ran the leadoff leg for Nigeria’s 4x100m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After the Olympics, she competed at the World Athletics U20 Championships and placed seventh in the 100m dash with a time of 11.63 (+0.0). She earned gold with Nigeria’s 4x100m relay team at the 2024 African Championships and placed fifth in the 100m. She placed third in the 100m dash with a time of 11.47 (-0.1) at the 2024 Nigerian Championships. She competed for Nigeria in the 4x100 at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, the youngest person representing Nigeria at the games. Eyakpobeyan won both the 100m and 200m at the 2023 Nigerian U18 Championships and was second in the 100m and third in the 200m at the 2023 African U18 Championships.

Tiana was born on Sept. 26, 2006 in Nigeria…Her mother is Oghenebrume Christiana and her father is Solomon Eyakpobeyan and she has three sisters…She loves to play video games…She is a Human and Health Science major at USC.
