Bio
THIS SEASON: Tim Wynter, a Jamaican national teamer, is a 2016 freshman who brings a successful international background to the Trojans. He is a strong freestyler and backstroker and will challenge to carve out a large role in his first year in L.A.
HIGH SCHOOL: Wynter prepped at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., where he was an NISCA All-American. He won the 100y back at the 2012 and 2014 New England Prep School Championships and was top 3 both times in the 100y fly. He posted a pair of top five finishes in the 50m and 100m back at the 2013 NCSA Junior Nationals.
JAMAICA: Wynter came to USC as one of Jamaica's best ever swimmers, having established six national and 21 Jamaican NAG records before starting college ... Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, he competed at the 2015 World Championships in the 50m and 100m back ... He was a 50m back semifinalist at the 2013 World Juniors and has represented Jamaica at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 Youth Olympic Games, 2012 World Short Course Championships and the 2010 CAC Games.
CLUB/COACH: South Florida Aquatic Club/Chris Anderson.
PERSONAL: He is a psychology major.
