Christopher Lee enters his first season as an assistant coach for the USC women’s water polo program. He comes to USC directly from time spent working with USA Water Polo, and also boasts 14 years of collegiate coaching experience with teams that amassed eight NCAA appearances.
Most recently, Lee helped Pomona-Pitzer win the 2023 Division III National Championship. He also is familiar with the MPSF landscape, having served as an assistant coach at Cal and UCLA during his tenure. At the college club level, Lee helmed Penn’s men’s and women’s club teams, helping his alma mater make a combined five National Collegiate Club Championship appearances.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Lee has played key roles with the U.S. women’s national teams on staff for four Olympic Games and numerous World Aquatics Championships and Pan American Games. In the coaching realm, Lee has been active on deck for U.S. women’s Development, Cadet and ODP Zone teams.
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lee earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Penn in 2004. He also earned a master’s degree in architecture from Penn in 2008. He competed in water polo as a member of Penn’s club team.
