Tempe, AZ -- USC freshman stand-out Jewel Peterson made a spectacular debut this weekend (Oct. 8-10) at the Arizona State Thunderbirds Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. Peterson upset top-seed Amy Jensen of California to win the singles main draw competition, 7-6 (4), 6-3. The tournament marked the first individual competition for the Trojans this season.
