SAN JOSE, Calif. - UCLA clinched third place at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament with a 7-4 victory over USC Sunday at the Aquatics Center in San Jose. Four different Bruins registered points for UCLA, with Jessica Lopez and Kelly Heuchan leading the way with two goals apiece. The win marks UCLA's fourth over USC this season in as many meetings.
In the Championship match, Stanford used a four-goal first period to boost a 6-4 victory over California. Four different Cardinal scored, led by Julie Gardner and Kris Koblik with two goals each. Breena Fleener led Cal with two goals.
Following the Championship match, the all-tournament teams were named. UCLA's senior captain Catharine von Schwarz, freshman Jessica Lopez and senior Erin Golaboksi all received second team honors.
