STANFORD, Calif. -- The No. 4 USC Trojans cruised to wins Saturday against UC Davis (16-1) and Loyola Marymount (6-4) in men's water polo action to advance to the championship semi-finals at the NorCal Tournament. The Trojans will face a rematch with the UCLA Bruins on Sunday morning after UCLA defeated USC, 7-5, last week.
In the first match against UC San Diego, the Trojans jumped out early with an 8-0 lead at halftime. Sophomore Predrag Damjanov and freshman James Shin led the Trojans with three goals each. USC avenged its earlier 7-3 loss last week to UC San Diego.
The Trojans used three goals in the fourth period in a come-from-behind win against Loyola Marymount. Damjanov and senior Daniel Lontay led the Trojans with two goals each.
