
Women's Golf Finishes Third At Pioneer Bruin Classic

The No. 3 USC women's golf team shot a three round total of 887 to take third place at the Pioneer Electronic Bruin Classic played at Menifee Lakes Country Club in Menifee, Calif., on Mon.-Tues. (Mar. 12-13).
USC finished 14 strokes behind tourney champ Pepperdine (873). Oklahoma was second (879), followed by the Women of Troy, then California (896) and tourney host UCLA (902).
Sophomore All-American Candie Kung led the Women of Troy with an even par 216 to finish in a three-way tie for second with Angie Yoon of Nevada and Allison Johnson of Oklahoma. Katherine Hull of Pepperdine shot 213 to win medalist honors.
USC freshman Anna Lee (competing as an individual) had a fine performance as well, finishing in seventh with a score of 219. Sophomore Mikaela Parmlid tied for eighth with a score of 220, while sophomore Yon Yim tied for 33rd (228), junior Leila Chartrand tied for 40th (229) and freshman Anna Rawson tied for 56th (233).
USC next competes at the ASU Ping Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 6-8.
