The ninth-year head coach was one of 20 coaches on the watch list.
FRISCO, Texas — Head Coach Justin Silverstein of the No. 3 USC Women's Golf Team was named to the Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride Watchlist, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Silverstein was one of five coaches on the West Coast to make the watch list, which has 20 coaches in total.
Under Silverstein's direction, the Trojans bring back four lineup players from one of the best seasons in program history last year. In 2025-26, the Trojans won eight tournament titles — the second-most in program history — the program's first Big Ten team and individual titles and a nation-leading 16th regional title.
Silverstein is a three-time conference coach of the year (once in the Big Ten, twice in the Pac-12) and the 2019 WGCA West Region Coach of the Year. He has sent the Trojans to the doorstep of winning a national title twice, most recently last season. Throughout his head coaching career, he has amassed over 30 team titles and coached 12 All-Americans.
Over the course of his nine seasons, the Trojans have rewritten the record book both individually and as a team. Most recently, USC put together the best team score in program history with an 817 (-47) to win the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
Silverstein and the Trojans will return to action for the Battle of LA, held on Jan. 22, 2027 in Indian Wells, Calif. All pertinent information is on the women's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
