USC Men, Women Win Dual Meet Over UCI

Irvine, CA - The University of Southern California defeated UC Irvine in men's and women's dual action Saturday in Irvine's Anteater Aquatics Complex.
In men's competition, USC won every event, and was led by Oliver White, Jeff Lee, and Tamas Kerekjarto who each won a pair of events. Freshman Hazem Amr turned in the best result of any male Anteater, placing second in the 50-yard freestyle (21.56).
On the women's side, the Trojans claimed 12 of 13 events, with Kristin MacGregor and Joanna Fargus each winning a pair. Sharisse Blau won the 50-yard freestyle for UCI (24.33) and finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (59.23).
The UC Irvine men and women travel to Cal State Northridge Friday (Jan. 25) at 2:00 p.m. and host Cal Poly Saturday (Jan. 26) at 1:00 p.m. for their final dual meets of the year.
