LOS ANGELES - The No. 15 USC women's tennis team (7-4) easily defeated San Diego (0-11), 7-0, in a non-conference home match Thursday (Feb. 28) at Marks Tennis Stadium.
It was USC's fifth win in its last six matches.
After sweeping the three doubles matches, the Women of Troy lost only one set in singles. USC's first five singles players lost only 12 games all day. In the No. 1 singles match, USC's Jewel Peterson beat USD's Paola Arrangoiz of Mexico, 6-3, 6-2.
USC next travels to UCLA for a Pac-10 match next Thursday (March 7) at 1:30 p.m.
