Sophomore Catalina Marin shot a 227 over 54 holes to tie for ninth as she led the No. 6 USC women's golf team to fourth place on Wednesday at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational.
USC finished with a total score of 926, 27 strokes behind team champion Oklahoma State. Washington and Oregon tied for second at 918 and Pepperdine was fifth with 930.
It was Marin's first-career top-10 finish. She was joined in the top 20 by sophomore Veronica Felibert, who shot 229 to tie for 12th.
Karin Sjodin of Oklahoma State won the individual title with a 213. Annie Thurman of OSU was second at 222.
Also for USC, junior Irene Cho tied for 22nd (234), junior Seiko Onoue tied for 31st (237) and junior Tanya Dergal finished 48th (241).
The Women of Troy are next in action at the Stanford Collegiate on Oct. 15-17.
