LOS ANGELES -- No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 USC, No. 3 UCLA and No. 4 Cal advanced to tomorrow's championship semifinals of the 2004 So-Cal Tournament, hosted by the University of Southern California. The tournament features 14 Top 20 teams, including the nation's top seven teams (No. 5 UC Irvine, No. 6 Pepperdine and No. 7 Long Beach State).
USC and Cal will clash in a semifinal on Sunday (Sept. 19) at 10:30 a.m. at McDonald's Swim Stadium while the Stanford-UCLA semifinal will be held at 11:45 a.m. The winner of both matches will meet for the tournament championship at 6 p.m. with the third-place match at 4:45 p.m.
Matches at McDonald's Swim Stadium will begin at 8 a.m. while matches at nearby Commerce Pool will start at 9:15 a.m. Tickets are $20 for a one-day pass, good for all matches.
NOTE FOR SUNDAY'S MATCHES: Due to the Emmy Awards at the Shrine Auditorium, fans attending Sunday's matches at McDonald's Swim Stadium are encouraged to enter Gate 5 on Jefferson Blvd. from Vermont Ave. Fans using the 10 Freeway can exit on the Vermont Ave, head south towards the USC campus and turn left on Jefferson. Fans using the 110 Freeway can exit Exposition Blvd, head west towards Vermont, turn right on Vermont and then turn right on Jefferson Blvd.

UC San Diego's Chris Finegold scored with one second remaining for the game-winner as the No. 12-ranked Tritons upset the No. 7 Long Beach State 49ers, 10-9. Brad Scoles had tied the game for Long Beach State with nine seconds left in the fourth quarter, scoring his team-high fourth goal of the match.
