Conference play hasn't even begun for the USC men's water polo team, but senior two-meter defender already has earned himself three MPSF Mikasa Player of the Week awards this season. This latest honor comes after Zatovic plugged in 11 goals for the Trojans on the way to the NorCal Tournament title last weekend in Berkeley, Calif.
In the championship game against host California, Zatovic fired in a game-high four goals for the Trojans, leading them to the tournament title. With three goals against Santa Clara in the tournament opener, Zatovic took over as USC's second all-time leading scorer. He now has 188 career goals -- two short of the top all-time mark. Zatovic has now had 10 multiple-goal games this season. This week's MPSF award is Zatovic's fifth career weekly honor. USC is now 13-1 overall on the way into this weekend's MPSF opener at UC Santa Barbara.
