
Nicole Limebach Named Pac-10 Player Of The Year

USC freshman Nicole Leimbach, the No. 9 player in the nation, has been selected as the Pac-10 Conference Women's Player of the Year, the conference announced on Friday (May 6).
Leimbach, from Colorado Springs, Colo., recently won the singles title at the 2005 Pac-10 Championships, beating Stanford's Alice Barnes. During the regular season, Limebach, USC's No. 1 singles player, was 14-5 in dual meets and is 17-4 overall.
Fellow Trojan freshman Lindsay Nelson joined Leimbach on the Pac-10's women's first team while sophomore Anca Anastasiu earned second team honors. Nelson, playing at No. 2 singles, is 13-5 while Anastasiu, at No. 3 singles, is 11-5.
