Ricky Oropesa Earns Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-America Honor

LOS ANGELES -- Freshman first baseman/pitcher Ricky Oropesa (Rancho Cucamonga/Etiwanda HS) has been named Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball. Oropesa batted .314 this season (58-for-185) with a team-leading 13 home runs and 48 RBI.
He had eight doubles and one triple with three stolen bases. Oropesa led the Trojans with a .578 slugging percentage. On the mound, he made four appearances. In three innings, he allowed three hits, three runs, two walks and six strikeouts.
