The 2011 USC women's water polo team wrapped up the year with its eighth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. As they close their Trojan playing careers, USC senior Joelle Bekhazi and Kristen Dronberger have pocketed their third consecutive All-American honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. The decorated duo are joined by three other teammates on the All-American list as well, as Flora Bolonyai, Nadia Dan and Patricia Jancso now become USC's solid set of All-Americans lined up to return to Troy to lead the Trojans next season.
Jancso, Bekhazi, Dan and Dronberger were USC's top four scorers, respectively, in 2011. Bolonyai was USC's wall in the cage, earning herself All-America honors in her first season as a Trojan.
Senior Joelle Bekhazi and sophomore Patricia Jancso combined for 86 goals on the year on the way to earning 2011 All-America Second Team honors. Bekhazi earned All-America Honorable Mention in 2009 in her first year at USC, and picked up First Team accolades last season when the Women of Troy captured the 2010 NCAA Championship. That was Jancso's first season at USC, as she has now added Second Team honors to the Honorable Mention selection she garnered as a freshman in 2010. Bekhazi finishes up ranked No. 11 all-time at USC with 135 career goals.
Senior Kristen Dronberger closes out her four years at Troy as a three-time All-American with this year's selection to the All-America Third Team. She provided 37 goals for the Trojan in her senior season, and was a finalist for the Peter J. Cutino Award. This year's All-America Third Team honors go along with her 2009 Honorable Mention and 2010 Second Team awards. She scored 120 career goals for USC.
New to the list of All-Americans are two Trojans with 2011 Honorable Mention accolades. Junior Nadia Dan was USC's third leading scorer, as the lefty ripped in 38 goals for the Trojans. Freshman goalie Flora Bolonyai came up big for USC in her first season, hauling in 212 saves for an average of 7.9 saves per game. That rounds out a class of five All-Americans from USC's 2011 roster, with Bolonyai, Dan and Jancso coming back for more in 2012.
