No. 2 USC Falls To Seventh At Mason Rudolph

Sophia Popov carded her second consecutive par round while Lisa McCloskey was 1-over to lead No. 2 USC during the second round of the Mason Rudolph Fall Preview on Saturday (Sept. 24) at the Vanderbilt Legends Course in Nashville, Tenn.
The Trojans, who led by a stroke after the first round, fell to seventh at 16-over 592 (292-300), 13 strokes back of first-place UCLA (579). Alabama is second at 585.
Popov is tied for fifth at even 144 (72-72) while McCloskey is tied for 15th at 2-over 146 (73-73). Popov dropped to even on the eighth hole and carded 10 straight pars to close the round while McCloskey was 1-under through five holes and had one bogey the rest of the way.
Senior Inah Park (74-80) and freshman Kristen Park (73-81) are tied for 59th at 10-over 154 while sophomore Rachel Morris is tied for 65th at 11-over 155 (80-75).
Action concludes Sunday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. CDT.
