USC improved to 46-13 in its all-time series with Washington State and has won 18 of the last 20 meetings with the Cougars including the last two in a row.
WSU won just its second set all-time at Galen Center. The Cougars last won a set in the building in 2009.
Junior OH Samantha Bricio picked up her 12th double-double of the season (34th career) and finished with 19 kills and 10 digs.
With 22.0 points, Bricio increased her career total to 1,519.5, and moved into third in USC career history. She went ahead of Bibiana Candelas (2002-05; 1,512.0 points) and Jessica Gysin (2006-09; 1,514.0 points).
Sophomore setter Alice Pizzasegola logged her second double-double of the season with 28 assists and 10 digs; the third double-double of her career.
Sophomore OH Elise Ruddins posted her first-career double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs.
Sophomore libero Taylor Whittingham had 20 digs for her 12th straight match in double digits for digs; her team-leading 18th such match this season. Whittingham has also had four straight matches with 20 or more.
