Chung Named Pac-12 Player Of The Month

USC junior Karen Chung has been named the Pac-12 Women's Golfer of the Month for September, the Pac-12 announced today.
Chung, a junior from Livingston, N.J., claimed her third career collegiate title with a victory at the Annika Intercollegiate by shooting a 12-under 204 (68-68-68). Chung came from behind to edge freshman teammate Robynn Ree, who took second at 10-under 206 (68-66-72) as USC won the team title by 23 strokes at a school-record 36-under 828 (276-271-281).
In the final round, Chung recorded four birdies and an eagle, with the later coming on the 18th where she holed out from 180 yards to finish at 12-under. Chung is the first Trojan to put together three straight rounds in the 60s in the same 54-hole event since Kyung Kim opened the 2013-14 season. She had three rounds in the 60s total for all of 2014-15 season, a total she has already matched this season. Her score at the Annika Intercollegiate was the second lowest 54-hole total in school history.
