Crystal Falls In Oracle ITA Masters Singles Round of 16

MALIBU, CALIF. -- USC senior Nick Crystal wound up with a singles split in Malibu after taking a Round of 16 loss today at the Oracle ITA Masters. The #27 Crystal was up against Denver's #116 Diego Rocha this afternoon, looking for a ticket to tomorrow's quarterfinals and a second straight win at the event.
But Rocha was ready for the Trojan senior and was able to post a 6-2, 6-2 win over Crystal to take that spot in the next round of singles play in Malibu.
Crystal and his Trojan teammates will reunite in Malibu next week for competition at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships, running Oct. 20-24 at Pepperdine.
