USC Lacrosse Set For Fall-Ball Competitions

The Women of Troy will have two dates on the East Coast and two on the West Coast in October
LOS ANGELES – The USC women's lacrosse team has announced its fall 2017 competition schedule. The two-time MPSF champion Women of Troy will split its four dates in October with two events on the East Coast and two on the West Coast.
The Trojans head to Princeton, N.J., for fall games against Princeton, UAlbany, and Denver on Saturday (Oct. 14). USC then travels across state lines on Sunday (Oct. 15) for competitions with UPenn, Virginia, and Temple, on the campus Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia, Pa.
On the left coast, the Trojans will head down to San Diego for match-ups with San Diego State and Arizona State on the Aztecs' lacrosse field on Saturday (Oct. 21). On Saturday, Oct. 28, the Women of Troy will host their second-annual alumnae game on Cromwell Field at USC's Loker Track and Field Stadium.
USC was ranked No. 8 in the final 2017 IWLCA Coaches Poll following an 18-4 season that saw the Women of Troy advance to the program's second-consecutive NCAA quarterfinal game. The Trojans went 8-0 in the MPSF's final season and won back-to-back regular-season and tournament titles.
The Trojans earned their third straight bid into the NCAA tournament and were led by first-team All-American and two-time MPSF Player of the Year Michaela Michael who finished as the program's all-time leader for goals (234), points (305), and draw controls (422). Lydia Sutton was named a third-team IWLCA All-American. Kerrigan Miller was chosen as the MPSF's Rookie of the Year. Head coach Lindsey Munday earned her 69th-career victory and guided the program to its highest ranking (No. 3) and second-longest winning streak in school history (12).
