Six Trojans Begin Second Half Of LPGA Q-Series

All six inside the cut line, but still have 72 holes to play.

Six Trojans played in the LPGA's Q-Series first four rounds last week and all six finished in the top 36 after 72 holes, a great start to what all hope will be a top 45 finish for 2019 LPGA status.

Tiffany Chan, who played on the LPGA Tour last year but who has to qualify again, led the USC squad with a tie for 12^th at 1-under 287 (72-74-68-63).

She and the rest of the Trojans resume the qualification for four final rounds in the 102-woman field today through Saturday (Oct. 31-Nov. 3) at Pinehurst (N.C.) No. 7.

Kyung Kim, looking for her first LPGA card, started today tied for 14^th at par 288 (75-73-70-70) while Karen Chung, looking to get back on tour, is tied for 23^rd at 3-over 291 (77-72-72-70).

Muni He, after her first tour card, is also tied for 23^rd at 3-over 291 (75-76-68-72). Former NCAA champion Doris Chen is tied for 28^th at 4-over 292 (76-74-74-68) while Sophia Popov, the veteran of the group, is tied for 36^th at 5-over 293 (74-77-67-75).
