Trojans will head to the NCAA semifinals on Dec. 1 in Palo Alto.
The USC men's water polo team will get the chance to fight for a 10th national championship in securing an at-large berth into the 2018 National Collegiate Championship, the NCAA announced tonight (Nov. 18). In the bracket released (https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/print/waterpolo-men/nc/2018), USC (28-3) is set up with a semifinal spot, awaiting the winner of an opening round game on Nov. 29.
Under the direction of head coach Jovan Vavic, the 2018 Trojans are a dynamic blend of newcomers and a handful of veterans who have seen USC through a string of NCAA final appearances. USC has reached 13 consecutive NCAA title matches, but has not won it all since 2013. The Trojans won a record six straight national championships from 2008-13.
