Four Trojan All-Americans Earn LPGA Tour Cards

Sophia Popov, Tiffany Chan, Karen Chung and Muni He finish in Top 45 of LPGA Q-Series to nab status.
Former Trojan All-Americans Sophia Popov, Karen Chung, Tiffany Chan and Muni He all earned LPGA Tour cards for the 2019 season thanks to top 45 finishes in the eight-round LPGA's Q-Series that finished today at Pinehurst (N.C.) No. 7.
Chan led six Trojans who were trying to qualify this week, tying for 15th at 2-over 578 (72-74-68-63-74-76-66-75) to earn her card back. He, among the youngest competitors in the field, tied for 27th at 5-over 581 (75-76-68-72-74-70-73-73) to earn her first tour card.
Popov tied for 36th at 8-over 584 (74-77-67-75-73-70-73-75) – the same spot she was in after 72 holes – while Chung was among four players tied for 45th at 10-over 586 (77-72-72-70-76-75-73-71), snaring the final spot. Popov and Chung were both formerly on the tour, like Chan.
Former All-American Kyung Kim just missed a top 45 finish, tying for 51st at 12-over 588 (75-73-70-70-76-74-75-75). Doris Chen failed to qualify as well. Kim retains status on the Symetra Tour for next season
