No. 13 USC Holds California at Bay For 10-5 Road Win

The Women of Troy won their fourth straight game and earned the 75th-career victory for head coach Lindsey Munday
BERKELEY, Calif. – The No. 13-ranked USC lacrosse team (6-3, 4-0 Pac-12) earned its fourth straight win with a 10-5 decision over California (4-6, 0-4) at California Memorial Stadium on Friday, March 23. It is the first Pac-12 road victory for the Women of Troy and the 22nd consecutive conference win for the Trojans. The win also marks head coach Lindsey Munday's 75th-career victory.

KEY PLAYERS
- Sophomore midfielder Kerrigan Miller matched her career high with five goals and notched her third hat trick of the season; the ninth of her career. She also had three ground balls and caused two turnovers.
- Senior goalie Gussie Johns posted nine saves and picked up four ground balls to go with two caused turnovers.
- Off the bench, sophomore attacker Izzy McMahon scored a pair of goals and dished out one of USC's four assists.
- Sophomore defender Jackie Gilbert snared five draw controls for the Women of Troy.
- For the Golden Bears, Kirsten Swanson scored a hat trick. Lauren Hickman scored two goals. Jenny Wilkens had eight saves (.444) and picked up three ground balls.
- The Trojans built a 7-2 lead at halftime thanks to four goals by Miller.
- Cal got USC to play at its pace in the second frame and held the Women of Troy scoreless for nearly 15 minutes. During that period, the Bears scored two goals to trim the USC lead to just three (7-4).
- Down the stretch, the Trojans secured the victory with a 3-1 run to close the game with two goals by McMahon and one by Miler with under one minute to play.
- USC concludes the first half of the Pac-12 schedule when it meets No. 19 Stanford (4-3, 1-1) on Sunday (March 25) at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium in Stanford, Calif. First draw is set for 1 p.m. PT.
- USC improved to 5-1 all-time against California and has won five straight games over the Golden Bears.
- Sixth-year head coach Lindsey Munday won her 75th-career game (75-33 overall).
- Including games won as part of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, USC won its 22nd straight conference game.
- The Trojans won their sixth straight game in the Bay Area dating back to 2016.
- So. M Kerrigan Miller matched her career high and secured her third hat trick of the season; the ninth of her career. She also secured a draw control to push ahead into third place at USC in career draw controls (66) ahead of Kylie Drexel (65).
