No. 5 Trojan Beach Takes 4-1 Win Over No. 19 Stanford

USC won its third straight dual on a 4-1 decision over the Cardinal to open the Pac-12 South Invitational
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – The No. 5 USC beach volleyball team (4-2) claimed a 4-1 victory over No. 19 Stanford (3-7) at Ocean Park Beach to open play in the Pac-12 South Invitational on Saturday, March 7. It was the third straight dual win for the Women of Troy.
The Trojans claimed straight-set victories at courts four, five, and three, to clinch the dual. The senior-freshman duo of Joy Dennis and Harper Hallgren knocked off Shannon Richardson and Blake Sharp, 21-13, 21-12, to get the scoring started for USC. Senior Cammie Dorn and junior Paige Dreeuws made it 2-0 in the dual on their 21-11, 21-13 win over Natalie Berty and Chelsea Red-Horse Mohl at the No. 5 position. Dorn-Dreeuws improved to 4-0 on the season.
Trojan twin freshmen Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse delivered the clinching blow on their 24-22, 21-12 win over Maddie Daily and Amelia Smith at the third court. The Trojans added another point with a win from the No. 2 pair of Kyla Doig and Sammy Slater. The Cardinal scored its only point on a three-set win at the top court.
The Women of Troy finish the first day of the Pac-12 South Invitational with a dual against No. 2-ranked UCLA (8-2) at Mapes Beach on the Bruin campus at 2:30 p.m. PT. The dual will be streamed live on UCLA's Pac-12+ platform and have live score updates. Links can be found at USCTrojans.com.
