Catherine Park leads the Trojans as they finished 9th out of 15 teams in Chicago
CHICAGO - USC Women's golf finished their second tournament with a top-ten finish and cumulated a score of four-under-par as a squad. Sophomore Catherine Park led the Trojans as she carded a 71-70-71 (-4) tournament total after the final round Tuesday (Oct. 3) at the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Glen View Club in Chicago.
The Women of Troy collected their second season result, as they now own two top-ten finishes. UCLA won the tournament with a 31-under-par team total.
Park was the front-runner for USC, as she ended her tournament in a tie for 20th. The sophomore put together a final round of one-under-par after she birdied three holes on the back nine to counteract two bogeys. This is Park's eighth career top-25 finish.
Sitting just behind Park was junior Amari Avery. Avery put together an even 72 in the final round to place her in a tie for 27th. USC's ace had a backend resurgence after posting a 38 (+2) on the front nine by following it with a 34 (-2).
