USC Women’s Tennis Serves Up Sunday Shutout Over UC Santa Barbara

The USC women's tennis team shutout UC Santa Barbara on Sunday (Feb. 12) as the Trojans picked up their sixth win of the season on the road.
With a one-point advantage heading into singles play, UC Santa Barbara extended the Trojans lead as they forfeited courts five and six, giving USC an additional two points by default. Leading 3-0 as singles began, sophomore Grace Piper got right to work, defeating UCSB's Marta Gonzales-Ballbe 6-2,6-2 on court four to clinch the match for the Trojans.
All remaining matches were played out as No. 110 Emma Charney beat Valentina Khrebtova 6-4, 6-1 on court three. Next No. 26 Snow Han defeated Gaucho Kira Reuter in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. USC's No. 32 ranked Eryn Cayetano completed the shutout victory as she downed No. 43 ranked Amelia Honer 6-7(4-7), 6-4, 10-5 on center court.
